Latest on Defected is a triple CD set from house stalwart Charles Webster. Defected presents Charles Webster drops at the end of the month.
Webster's been mining the song-based side of house for over twenty years working with plum vocalists such as Terra Deva (as Furry Phreaks), Robert Owens and Tracey Thorn, not to mention handing in some big remixes along the way. Check his rethink of Justin Martin's classic 'The Sad Piano' or his recent rework of NUfrequency's 'Go That Deep' for his emotive take on house.
Defected presents... captures Webster's wide range of musical influences. Disc one is a straight up house mix including cuts by Blaze, Moodymann and Kings of Tomorrow as well as new edits of his own past releases. Second disc is a home listening set that might well be the first on Defected to include cuts by Black Sabbath, The Cranberries and Patti Smith. A final unmixed disc comes with essential Webster cuts for those that missed them the first time around plus some new material, too.
